Eliyahu Gasson

Eliyahu Gasson is a reporting intern with Next Generation Newsroom for the Spring 2025 semester. From Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill South neighborhood, Eliyahu is a full-time journalism student at Duquesne University. He has served as an editor with Duquesne’s student-run newspaper, The Duquesne Duke, since his junior year covering news on campus and around the region. He is the vice president of the Duquesne University chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists which holds events promoting the importance of journalism and the First Amendment. Outside of school or the newsroom, he enjoys reading up on politics or taking photos around the city.
